On the evening of July 1, BTS held a livestream with fans, marking their first full-group appearance in three years since starting their military service. In June, BTS members began completing their duties one by one.

However, Suga, who served in public service duty, completed his enlistment more quietly. He did not appear in the media on June 21, the official date of his discharge. His return drew attention because it marked his first public appearance since his DUI scandal in early 2024. The July 1 livestream was the first time fans saw Suga since the controversy.

All seven members appeared bright, energetic, and barefaced, much to fans’ delight. Avoiding mention of past controversies, BTS spoke candidly about life post-military. Jung Kook, the youngest, admitted he was still adjusting to normal life. He revealed he had gotten more tattoos and already had scheduled activities just days after his discharge.

As of now, BTS has not resumed official group activities. J-hope recently completed his solo world tour, and Jin is set to begin his own. Despite individual projects, the members consistently show up to support each other. Soon, BTS will release a compilation album featuring songs from past tours. Still, fans eagerly await their official comeback.

The members confirmed during the livestream that their new album will drop in spring 2025, followed by a world tour. This matches previous reports by Korean media and HYBE’s internal meeting notes suggesting a March 2025 comeback.

Currently, BTS is working with international producers, aiming for bold new musical experimentation. Hearing the members confirm it themselves sent ARMY into a frenzy.
